The
biggest hydroelectric in the world in its category, the seventh
wonder of the modern world, is a two nations undertaking between
Brazil and Paraguay.
ITAIPU
itselfs responsible for 25% of all the energy consumed in
the South, Southeast, and Midwest regions of Brazil.
Its
project was undertaken in 1974. Today with 12,600MW of installed
power, the biggest hydroelectric in the world is without a
doubt an attraction for its grandeur.
The
visit to the plant starts with a 30 minutes video about the
plant followed by a bus tour along the work site.
